Tabor Academy seeks an experienced and passionate Head Coach for Girls Varsity Soccer to lead a competitive, mission-driven program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to player development, team culture, and the holistic education of student-athletes within a boarding school environment. This is a seasonal part‑time position, though there is potential for a full‑time faculty or staff appointment depending on the candidate’s experience and interest.

Full‑time opportunities may include teaching, administrative, residential life, advising, or other campus responsibilities aligned with school needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Girls Varsity Soccer program in alignment with Tabor’s mission and NEPSAC/ISL expectations.
  • Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and off‑season training programs. The use of Hudl and the ability to use film as a teaching tool is an expectation of our program.
  • Foster a culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
  • Mentor student-athletes, supporting their academic, athletic, and personal development.
  • Actively recruit and retain student-athletes who will contribute to Tabor’s community, drawing on strong relationships with regional and national clubs and high school programs.
  • Make use of Tabor social media in the promotion of the program for admissions and for highlighting program achievements.
  • Supervise assistant coaches and collaborate with the athletic department to ensure consistency and professionalism across all levels of the program.
  • Communicate with parents regarding games, updates, and programmatic expectations.
  • Engage fully in boarding school life whether in a part-time or full-time role.
  • Represent Tabor and the ISL with the highest standards of conduct and integrity, modeling respect for opponents, officials, and the game.
Qualifications
  • Significant coaching experience at the high school, club, and/or collegiate level.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a successful and value-centered program.
  • Proven recruiting experience and strong connections within the club soccer community.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and boarding school/collegiate experience preferred.
Additional Information
  • Compensation and responsibilities will be commensurate with experience and the scope of the role (as stated, this position could be either part-time or combined with a full-time role).
  • All Tabor coaches are expected to uphold the ISL’s principles of sportsmanship and to model the school’s core values in all interactions.
Salary Range

Dependent on part-time or full-time role and associated scope of responsibilities.
