Position SummaryThe primary function of this position is to coordinate warehouse employees, administer policies related to shipping and receiving inventory, and assist in loading trucks. The Operations Manager supports purchasing and sales by maximizing space utilization and ensuring accurate, timely order picking.
Essential Functions- Supervise a crew of 6‑10 warehouse employees.
- Select, develop, and motivate assigned warehouse personnel.
- Motivate teamwork to meet productivity targets.
- Conduct a daily safety walk‑through ensuring the warehouse is organized, clean, and safe.
- Enforce company policies of conduct and safety, initiating disciplinary action as needed.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and quarterly driver safety meetings.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts.
- Identify causes of product losses and take corrective action.
- Implement and maintain a bin location system to aid storage and picking.
- Assist employees in loading and unloading trucks, including staging night‑time loads.
- Control costs through personnel productivity, efficient space utilization, and proper material protection.
- Utilize docks, warehouse layout, and truck loading patterns to minimize turnaround time.
- Maintain planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to meet OSHA and federal DOT standards.
- Manage People Net computer system to monitor driver hours of service and on‑duty time for DOT compliance.
- Strategically plan material transportation requirements, organize delivery routes, and ensure on‑time, accurate shipments while maintaining profitability.

Experience and Education
- Prefer 2 years prior supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 3 years forklift experience.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass drug test and background verification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
