Position Summary...
What you ll do...
Provides comprehensive patient care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and administering other programs developed by Walmart in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes/regulations. Drives sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, sales development, maintaining cross-functional relationships, and assessing economic trends and demographics.
Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to associates on customer service approaches to resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues within company guidelines and standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages associates to serve as good members of the community. Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring loss prevention and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational and quality assurance reviews, developing action plans, and guiding execution of company programs and strategic initiatives.
- Supervise and develop associates in assigned areas, including training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing performance feedback, recognizing contributions, and fostering a sense of belonging.
- Ensure confidentiality of information and records as required by company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Manage pharmacy operations, conduct associate meetings, and align operations with company and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOPs, QA policies).
- Document changes in pharmaceutical products and procedures and share information with associates and managers.
- Oversee inventory flow: monitor, order, and address issues related to inventory.
- Manage finances: interpret financial data, manage budgets, report assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses, and monitor trends.
- Demonstrate compliance-focused execution, including billing procedures, HIPAA compliance, SOP adherence, and auditing for improvement.
- Promote a culture of patient care, safety, and quality, including clear communication of quality expectations, counseling, documentation, and root-cause analysis for improvements.
- Foster teamwork, respect, integrity, and a culture of belonging, while driving customer-focused initiatives and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm
D, degree or equivalent FPGEC (NABP). - Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
- Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).
