As the Director of Life Enrichment at Miller’s, you play a key role in patient satisfaction. You plan, coordinate and direct a wide variety of activities to enrich the lives of patients within the facility. You oversee and mentor other life enrichment staff. You are a member of the multi-disciplinary care planning team, and you document activity plans and participation in the patient record in accordance with company policy and the State and Federal regulations governing those services.
You may transport patients to scheduled events away from the facility.
- Plan, coordinate and direct activities to enrich the lives of patients within the facility.
- Oversee and mentor other life enrichment staff.
- Be a member of the multi-disciplinary care planning team.
- Document activity plans and participation in the patient record in accordance with company policy and applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Transport patients to scheduled events away from the facility (as needed).
- Are a qualified Activity Director for the State of Indiana or have previous experience in healthcare Activities
- Have previous supervisory experience (preferred)
- Have good organizational and communication skills
- Are passionate about delivering excellent customer service
- Are professional in appearance and behavior
- Able to work with a dedicated team
- Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening
- Able to pass physical examination given in behalf of gainful employment within the facility
- Satisfactorily pass through required orientation and training; able to follow written and/or verbal instructions
- Eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body
- Experience in a social or recreational program within the last five (5) years is preferred
- Must have/obtain Commercial Driver's license or Chauffeur's License as required
- Work day, evening, and weekend shifts as required
- Ability to work well with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team
EXPOSURE CATEGORY II: Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but employment may require unplanned Category I tasks.

$17-$19.00/hr
