Process & Utility Piping Laborer - Marion, NC

Description EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking a Process and Utility Piping Laborer, preferably with food and beverage and/or pharmaceutical industry experience, to join our team. EGC employs more than 120 skilled craft workers that focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction. We offer general, commercial and industrial construction including electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters and structural steel detailers.

• Focus on safety and safety practices first and foremost during all tasks assigned
• Provide labor work needed for a specific jobsite in a positive, efficient and timely manner
• Perform general and final cleanup on jobsites for projects
• Distribute and clean up power hand-tools and extension cords
• Show willingness to learn the piping trade and assist when needed
• Attend meetings and prepare all necessary daily documentation
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Candidates must have transportation
• Familiarity with basic tools
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
• Proficient math skills
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work within a 50-mile radius, with willingness to travel to other states as a plus
• Ability to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
