Responsibilities:
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist with governmental accounting tasks, such as preparing financial reports and maintaining compliance with regulations
- Handle accounts receivable duties, including invoicing, collections, and resolving payment discrepancies
- Support budgeting processes by gathering and organizing financial data, assisting with forecasting, and monitoring expenditures
- Assist in financial report writing, including preparing summaries, analyzing data, and presenting findings
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions
- Process accounts payable invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments
- Previous experience in an administrative assistant role or similar position
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in technical accounting tasks, such as account analysis and reconciliation
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial report writing
- Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in using computer software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
