RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 47-bed medical/surgical unit caring for basic medical/surgical patients

• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:5-6 during night shifts based on acuity

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH

• Must be telemetry competent

• Work with EPIC charting system, Alaris equipment, and Pyxis medication dispensing

• Receive at least one orientation shift to learn unit flow

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Free parking available

• Support includes patient-free charge nurse, LPN support, day receptionist, centralized telemetry monitoring, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and phlebotomy assistance

This healthcare facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 104 beds, providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The organization maintains high standards of care with adequate PPE supplies and robust support systems including centralized telemetry monitoring, 24/7 hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy services, and phlebotomy support to ensure quality patient outcomes.
