Painters Assistant

Hi-Vac Corporation is seeking a Painters Assistant to work in the Paint Department in the manufacturing facility! Candidates with autobody or similar experience required. The Painters Assistant assists the Painters, preps parts to be painted, operates blasting booth to clean parts and inspects parts for the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing equipment for painting (i.e., cleaning and preparing surface, inspecting quality of parts, filling cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.)
• Cleaning paint booth, conveyor, hoses, spray heads, brushes and nozzles.
• Appropriately disposing of paint waste and hazardous materials.
• Assisting Operator with blasting booth to prepare parts.
• Ability to run a forklift.

Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.
• Training in a secondary education Technical School or experience with Autobody is required
• Experience in industrial painting a plus.
• Forklift experience a plus but not required.
