Cemetery Maintenance Specialist

Overview

Duration: Contract with possible extension/hire
Hours: First Shift

This position will not require driving, per the notes below. They will be operating heavy machinery though.

• Participate in openings and closings for burials, entombments, inurnments, and disinterments.
• Install and assemble foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Install outer burial containers.
• Handle and complete work orders from client families related to individual grave and marker maintenance; respond to service requests.
• Conduct Interment Verification Procedures and prepare a 25 foot radius around graves—ensuring the area is clean and neat.
• Fill graves, tamp soil, seed or lay sod as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety rules and Universal Precautions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Complete required training—particularly Dignity University courses and uphold the Dignity Memorial Promise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Dress Code: Work clothes, work boots, long sleeves, no shirts with distasteful language or images.
