What You Will Be Doing

As the Airframe Structural Design Engineer you will be responsible for developing innovative aircraft structural solutions within the Advanced Development Programs. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust designs.

Responsibilities
  • Create and modify primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents.
  • Develop, test, and validate aircraft structural designs.
  • Generate system requirements, conduct trade studies, draft statements of work, and devise test plans.
  • Coordinate with internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and collaborate with external IPTs and suppliers.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

  • More than 9 years experience in aerospace vehicle development
  • Experience with Fibersim or 3DX composites design workbench
  • Experience with metallic and composite design
  • Experience with determinant structural assembly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment
  • A US-DoD classified secret clearance
