Our expertise in inspecting asphalt and concrete roadways, as well as in bridge construction and rehabilitation, and coatings, enables us to contribute to vital infrastructure projects. We collaborate with public and private sectors, including state transportation departments, counties, and municipalities, across Ohio and beyond.
Join us on our growth journey as we seek experienced ODOT Prequalified Coatings Inspectors with bridge experience to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Maintains records of all work completed.
- Uses the necessary testing equipment to record the conditions under which the work was done and makes independent measurements of coating dry film thickness.
- Inspects, observes, and documents the surface preparation and sealing of concrete surfaces for quality assurance and to ensure contractor compliance with the sealer specifications, plans, and/or proposals.
- Notifies the Contractor of non-conforming work.
- Records the conditions under which the work was completed.
- Performs data entry into ODOT’s CMS/SITE MANAGER system or local documentation equivalent as directed by the Project Engineer or LPA person in responsible charge (as defined in the LPA participation requirements chapter of the Locally Administered Transportation Projects (LATP) Manual of Procedures).
- Complete special projects and other duties as may be assigned.
ODOT Prequalification is required:
- NACE Certified Coatings Inspector Level 1 Certified.
- SSPC or AMPP Protective Coatings Inspector Level 1 Certified.
- SSPC or AMPP Bridge Coating Inspector Level 1.
