The Yard Helper/Equipment Operator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations at our auction yard. You’ll be responsible for safely operating yard tractors and forklifts to move consignments in and out of the yard, assisting in the inventory process, and ensuring safety and organization during busy auction events.

• Operate yard tractors and forklifts to move equipment and materials safely and efficiently.
• Assist with the unloading and loading of various consignments from trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
• Ensure proper organization of items in the yard, verifying consignor and buyer information.
• Use hand signals to guide operators during loading/unloading processes.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
• Work closely with the Yard Manager to maintain an orderly, safe work environment.
• Participate as a key team member in a fast‑paced, high‑volume auction setting.

• Has at least 1 year of experience driving forklifts and operating heavy equipment (experience with tow motors, travel lifts, or similar machinery is a plus).
• Holds a valid CDL A driver’s license (is a plus).
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. consistently and work in all types of weather conditions.
• Has a stable work history and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Willing to travel as needed (100% travel may be required for certain positions).

• License/Certification
