Overview
The Metro Atlanta area Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the repair & maintenance of multiple facilities belonging to the Georgia Army National Guard. This position will be covering the following locations:
Atlanta RC, Atlanta United Ave., Charlie Brown ARPT, Decatur RC, Ellenwood RC, Fort Gilliam ARNG.
At times, the Maintenance Engineer may also travel outside the assigned area to assist at other GA ARNG facilities as needed. Daily travel is required 50% of the time - a vehicle and cell phone will be provided.
This position performs construction, repairs, preventive maintenance and inspections of HVAC units, physical structures, plumbing fixtures/hardware and electrical devices in various facilities throughout the Metro Atlanta. The selected employee will also perform administrative work requiring a wide range of computer skills and provide a high level of customer service to various levels or personnel within the GaARNG.
Responsibilities- Perform construction, repairs, preventive maintenance and inspections of HVAC units, physical structures, plumbing fixtures/hardware and electrical devices in various facilities throughout the Metro Atlanta.
- Administrative work requiring a wide range of computer skills and provide a high level of customer service to GaARNG personnel.
- Travel to assigned locations and, as needed, to other GA ARNG facilities (travel 50% of the time).
Agency Specific Qualifications and/or
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those qualified applicants who possess the following skills:
- Carpentry experience and licensed in HVAC (Conditioned Air License - Class II), electrical, and/or plumbing.
- Three years experience in building repairs and maintenance.
- Chiller and boiler system experience.
- EPA Refrigerant Technician Certification level 2 required
