Permanent Full‑time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Marietta, Georgia.

• Hourly Pay: $30.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification (up to $700)
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Up to $500 per quarter – four times per year
• Sign‑On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, Weekends OFF
• Hours:
  
  First Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Vocational or technical certification or post‑secondary degree (preferred)
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventive maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs (AC and electrical systems)
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience (preferred)
• Valid commercial driver license (CDL) Class A (preferred)
• Other required certifications based on location
• Must have at least 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑ and medium‑duty equipment
• Computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
• Will be required to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and Ryder background/motor vehicle check

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance and complex diagnostics using diagnostic computers
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Work unsupervised on most tasks
• Perform facility maintenance duties
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints once assigned a task
• Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Work in accordance with federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT)
• Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Access and use internal and external maintenance documents
• Other support duties as required (e.g., Service Island support)
• Complete SBTIII training within 180 days (SBT
  220)
• Complete at least 2 OEM on‑line diagnostic scan tool software courses within 365 days (depending on fleet mix)
