PositionSummary
The Glazier is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and aluminum systems on commercial construction projects. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team. The Glazier must ensure all installations meet AJ Glass’s quality and safety standards while supporting and mentoring Assistant Glaziers. This position has a daily start time of 5:00
A.M.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Measure, cut, and prepare glass and metal materials for installation.
- Install framing systems, doors, windows, and related components.
- Use suction cups, sealants, and other glazing tools and equipment.
- Verify material accuracy and readiness prior to installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise.
- Assist in training and supporting Assistant Glaziers.
- Load and unload materials and equipment for all teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and company vehicle daily.
- Maintain schedule and follow all safety procedures; wear required PPE at all times.
- Ensure installations meet AJ Glass standards for quality and precision.
- Complete and submit all required daily reports on time in Procore.
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of commercial glazing experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and field measurements
- Team-oriented attitude and commitment to safety.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools, saws, polishers, lifts, and forklifts
- Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to walk, stand, or climb ladders for extended periods during site visits.
- Lift and move glass, tools, and equipment regularly.
- Comfortable navigating active construction sites, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
This is a full-time position based in Marietta, GA, starting daily at 5:00 A.M.
