Job Summary

As a Customer Vertical Specialist – Material Handling at Belt Power, LLC., you will play a critical role in driving the profitable growth of the material handling vertical by developing and executing targeted product and sales strategies. This position is highly collaborative and requires cross‑functional coordination with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions and expand market presence.

You will act as both a technical expert and a strategic advisor, leveraging your knowledge of material handling applications to identify growth opportunities, develop training programs, and support the sales team in securing new business.

The Customer Vertical Specialist will be responsible for crafting product strategy documents, conducting in‑depth market and customer analysis, and building strong relationships with suppliers and customers. These efforts will directly contribute to increasing wallet share, improving operational capabilities, and ensuring the successful rollout of new products and services tailored to the needs of the material handling industry.

Responsibilities
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high‑level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
  • Analyze material handling customers to develop foot‑in‑the‑door sales strategies designed around product- and application‑specific solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams in the rollout of new product introductions, expanding wallet share, inventory stocking strategies and markets to drive measurable results for the entire organization.
  • Research prospective material handling customers and determine their available product category spend potential.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective suppliers that are aligned with our profitable growth strategies.
  • Identify, build, and implement internal operational processes or programs to better support the material handling vertical across the organization, including new fabrication processes or techniques, repair centers and/or installation processes.
  • Travel extensively in the region(s) to train the sales team, make joint sales calls with Belt Power Territory Managers and direct end‑user sales calls to drive profitable growth of the material handling vertical.
  • Support Territory Managers in promoting and selling orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship and consultative selling approach.
  • Assist and support company sales teams servicing adjacent territories.
  • Make telephone calls and in‑person visits and deliver presentations regarding our value proposition.
  • Coordinate sales with the Account Managers to generate customer quotes and order status.
  • Keep up to date on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of relevant literature and consulting with marketing and technical teams.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.
  • Follow up with customers regarding their pending quotes and other opportunities.
  • Create and analyze sales reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Build and deliver material handling training modules internally for Territory Managers and externally for customers focused on product and application solutions.
  • Consistently document qualified opportunities in the company’s pipeline management platform.
  • Respect, protect, and support company culture.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
