Retail Assistant Store Manager

Position Summary

Retail Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. Accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations/satisfaction. Supports the Store Manager to analyze store financial statements and drive profitability. Works with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This position offers hourly wage plus commission and bonuses based on store performance.

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues.
• Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
• Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
• Open/close the store; manage cash drawers and assets following procedures.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
• Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through clear communication and goals.
• Maintain operating standards per First Cash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager's absence.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others; firearms knowledge/certification may be required.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends/holidays; 40+ hours per week.
• Computer literate; experience with POS systems; strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Excellent work ethic and business sense; cash handling experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; bilingual applicants encouraged.

• Vacation: 1 week after 6 months; 1 additional week after 1 year; 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after 5 years.
• Sick/Personal time: 8 hours after 6 months; 16 hours each anniversary 2–5 years; 24 hours after 5 years.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers can earn 2–8% commission based on personal gross profit; details provided during interview.
