Location:
Marietta, GA. Salary: $90,000 - $98,000 (approximately).
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of operations, including customer service focus, merchandising, and store team coaching.
Responsibilities- Lead, support and value Customer Service in both the in‑store and online shopping experience.
- Ensure every employee greets customers with enthusiasm and maintains a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Proactively engage with customers, read cues and respond appropriately.
- Educate each customer on current promotions and merchandise assortment.
- Make suggestions to build the customer’s basket that compliments their choices.
- Support a caring, fun, and engaging work environment for the team.
- Support the company’s branding by treating all customers and co‑workers respectfully.
- Drive profitable sales, protect company assets and uphold the Company Handbook.
- Understand performance targets and monitor achievement of benchmarks and goals.
- Use objective business analysis to evaluate business choices.
- Observe trends and patterns to determine root causes of problems and identify solutions.
- Network and recruit within the market to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Build high performing teams that accomplish company goals, initiatives, and priorities.
- Create an atmosphere where all team members are held accountable for performance.
- Model respectful behavior, protecting company branding at all times.
- Communicate clearly and objectively to build commitment and support company initiatives.
- Identify store opportunities consistent with company strategies and take action.
- Ensure initiatives and direction are implemented appropriately and timely to drive results.
- Travel occasionally to other store locations and the Sales Support Center for meetings.
- Champion and demonstrate commitment to Kirkland’s values.
- May perform other duties as necessary.
- College preferred or 1–3 years management experience in a retail environment.
- Energetic, results‑oriented, and competitive with a drive to succeed.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to handle and transport company funds to the bank location designated by Kirkland’s.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock products or hang overhead banners/products.
- Ability to retrieve and stock products in the stock room and sales floor and to place merchandise in bags.
- Capability to move around the store for prolonged periods to greet and assist customers.
- Capability to communicate with customers in person, electronically, and telephonically.
- Capability to move merchandise that is 50 pounds or more to and from the stock room to the sales floor.
- Skill in operating a Point of Sale system, registers, and handheld devices efficiently and accurately.
