WellstarMedical Group is seeking an experienced PRN Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician assistant for a busy critical care medicine group:
- PRN Opening for Critical Care
- Shift options: 6am – 4pm, 10am – 8pm, or night shift 8pm – 6am
- Minimum one shift commitment over a twelve‑week period
- Must be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant
- Active or eligible for a GA State Medical License
The APP will work primarily with our critical care medicine team at Kennestone Medical Center, but could also cover Cobb, Douglas, and Paulding Medical Centers as needed.
Responsibilities- Obtain and write histories and physicals (H&Ps), daily progress notes and discharge summaries
- Perform physical assessments, read and interpret imaging
- Diagnose and develop a plan of care, and write orders
- Perform procedures including central lines and arterial lines
- Communicate with patients and their families
- Collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family
