Work Shift
:
Day (United States of America). Wellstar Health System is the largest health system in Georgia, providing care through a network of 11 hospitals, over 250 outpatient locations, and a wide range of specialized services. Our hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by highly trained critical care teams, providing expert care in areas such as intensive care, trauma, neurology, cardiology, and respiratory support.

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking an experienced PRN Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for a busy critical care medicine group. Shift options are 6a-4p, 10a-8p, or night shift 8p-6a. There is a minimum one shift commitment over a twelve-week period.

The APP will work primarily with our critical care medicine team at Kennestone Medical Center, but could also cover Cobb, Douglas, and Paulding Medical Centers as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
  • Obtain and write H&Ps, daily progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Perform physical assessments, read and interpret imaging, diagnose and develop a plan of care.
  • Write orders and perform procedures including central lines and arterial lines.
  • Communicate with patients and their families.
Qualifications
  • Georgia licensed APP, ACNP or PA required.
