Eyewear Polisher

The McGee Group of companies is searching for an Eyewear Polisher. The main function of the position is being responsible for the assembly part of the manufacturing process. (i.e. initial assemble, screws, adjustments, polishing etc.). This role involves finishing products to meet quality standards, ensuring precision and efficiency throughout the production process.

• Able to spot imperfections/branding/color variations & perform necessary printer maintenance to rectify
• Cross train in other areas and processes as well
• Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet manufacturing tasks
• Conduct assembly of components, ensuring proper fit and function
• Edge lenses both manually and with robotics
• Drilling and beveling
• Grinding and mounting lenses in frames
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
• Keep a watchful eye for quality control issues as they arise

• Good with hands and dexterity
• Optical lab or Optician experience needed
• Familiarity with a manufacturing environment, including use of machines, power tools and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to learn new processes and procedures
• Capacity to learn new skills quickly
• Physically capable of performing workshop duties including lifting and moving
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong inter-personal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
• Superior communication skills in both written and oral format are needed
