Our client, a leading organization in the government and defense sector, is seeking a Azure Cloud Security Architect - GA to join their team. As a Azure Cloud Security Architect - GA, you will be part of the Cybersecurity Department supporting cloud security initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Azure Cloud Security Architect - GA
Location: Marietta, GA
What's the Job?- Lead the design, development, and implementation of cybersecurity architecture within cloud environments, ensuring compliance with federal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into the entire cloud development lifecycle, integrating Dev Sec Ops principles and automation.
- Develop and enforce security policies, controls, and procedures tailored for cloud environments, including hybrid and FedRAMP High systems.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and security controls using Terraform, ARM templates, and policy-as-code methodologies.
- Provide strategic guidance on cloud risk management, incident response, and vulnerability remediation activities to safeguard enterprise information assets.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure Cloud, including Gov Cloud environments, with a focus on security and risk management.
- Proficiency in managing Azure security tools such as Entra , Sentinel, Defender, Monitor, and Key Vault.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts, multi-factor authentication, SSO, and federation.
- Experience automating security baselines and policy enforcement using Terraform, ARM templates, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, CMMC, FISMA, and NIST 800-53, along with relevant certifications like CISSP, CCSP, or cloud provider certifications.
