We are seeking a caring and dependable Payroll Specialist to perform payroll duties and tasks at our Marietta Center for Nursing and Healing. As a Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for processing payroll for the Center’s employees. Establishing and ensuring accuracy of federal, state, local taxes, social security contributions, employee benefit contributions, garnishments, and other deductions on employee paychecks.
Payroll Specialist role includes:- Verify data entry for all employees’ information into software for payroll and deduction purposes.
- Coordinates reports and additional information in a timely manner.
- Maintains proper records, files, and receipts in regard to payroll process and deductions.
- Correlates information needed for distribution of W2 s at the end of the year.
- Maintains personnel files according to policy.
- Maintains current contracts on contracted personnel for payroll purposes.
- High school graduate or equivalent, two years college preferred.
- At least two years of experience in health care data entry, preferably skilled nursing, long term care, or rehabilitation.
- At least two years of previous health care related payroll experience, preferably skilled nursing, long term care or rehabilitation payroll.
- Experience in Hosted Time, preferred.
- Organization.
