• Responsible for daily delivery and pickup of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility.
• Perform physical inventory of linen using a hand-held device.
• Neatly place clean linen back onto carts/shelves.
• Completes deliveries/pickups according to established timetables within an 8-hour shift.
• Respond to units requesting additional linen when supply on their cart has been depleted; assess needs and provide quantities to cover until the next scheduled delivery.
• Keep Spectralink (or other hospital-provided) phone/equipment on and in operation.
• Interact with customers to ensure linen is delivered in the appropriate time frame and quantity is accurate.
• Accurately count all remaining linen in exchange carts returned to the clean Linen room after retrieval from units.
• Record data (item counts) in the hand-held device so it may be entered into the Control-Tex Inventory system.
• Coordinate with staff and drivers the proper staging of carts being delivered; ensure appropriate carts are returned to Laundry and delivered to the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness of the clean Linen Storeroom.
• Consolidate partially full carts, remove empty carts, and place them in the hall.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with Well Star Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

• Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (General-Preferred).

• Experience: Previous linen delivery and inventory experience preferred.
• Software: Control-Tex Software Experience preferred.
• Skills: Computer/data entry experience; ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team; proficiency with Excel, Word, and basic computer operations.

• Language: Must read, write and speak English; understand verbal and written instructions.
• Other: Must be organized, attentive to detail, able to work quickly and efficiently, and able to count and follow instructions from supervisory staff.
