Position: Linen Technician - Full Time - Nights

Linen Technician – Night Shift – Wellstar

Work Shift

Night – 11 p – 7:30 a m
Monday – Friday and every other weekend

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform daily delivery and pickup of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit.
  • Accurately count remaining linen in exchange carts and record item counts on a hand‑held device for Control‑Tex Inventory system.
  • Respond to units requesting additional linen when the supply on their cart has been depleted, ensuring quantities needed for the next scheduled delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the clean linen storeroom by consolidating partially full carts, removing all empty carts, and placing them in the hall.
  • Coordinate with staff and drivers for proper staging of carts being delivered, ensuring carts are returned to laundry or delivered to the facility on schedule.
  • Interact with customers to ensure linen is delivered in the appropriate time frame and accurate quantity.
  • Keep the Spectralink (or other hospital provided phone/equipment) on and in operation to communicate with units.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all Well Star Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred);
    General‑Preferred education.
  • Previous linen delivery and inventory experience (preferred); computer experience (preferred).
  • Computer/data entry experience and basic computer operational knowledge (Excel, Word).
  • Epic and 3M experience preferred.
  • Must read, write, and speak English and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Organized, attentive to detail, and able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • All certifications required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
