Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2026 Summer Intern – Operations Engineer. In this role, you will focus on waste elimination, production enabler management, and/or management system development/coaching. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma techniques, business case development, project management, using statistical analysis, and gathering/analyzing data for presentations to leadership.

Must be a US Citizen; this position is located at a facility that requires special access.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience with project management
• Experience with database operations, including data mining and SQL querying

• Lean / Six Sigma certification (e.g., Black Belt, Green Belt, PDCA, 5S, 6S)
• Experience with business case development
• Experience with statistical analysis, including regression analysis

• Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time – the work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work Schedules:
  Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
