Sales Engineer

Job Description

As a sales engineer, you will work closely with the Sales Manager and other sales team members on activities regarding the project pre‑contract phase to ensure a successful project sale. As part of the dynamic and multidisciplinary sales team, your goal is to identify and analyze the customer’s needs and transfer those into a successful sales concept.

• Strong analytical skills, you are able to create concept solutions based on your analysis and understanding of the customer’s logistic processes
• Exceptional data analysis and preparation skills
• Experience estimating costs and pricing of large complex projects using multiple types (and vendors) of equipment
• Ability to understand the use of equipment and assist in its selection and speciation
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in commonly used computer software
• Analytical ability to understand the customer’s process, system through puts and rates, and uses of automation equipment
• Well‑developed influencing skills, both internal as external
• Strong communicational skills, you have a creative and efficient approach to building professional client relationships
• Experience in working within an international professional environment, preferably a project organization

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience with complex sales processes, preferably within the automated material handling industry
• Experience using 3D modeling tools and common business software
• Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial international organization, often working across organizational, geographic, and cultural boundaries
• Willing to travel domestic (up to 10-15%) and internationally (up to 5-10% of your time)

This is a full‑time, exempt position, eligible to receive a salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program.
