Position: Product Development Coordinator / Assistant Designer

Jinkou Trading company, a fast-growing apparel startup seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Development Coordinator / Assistant Designer to join our team. This role supports the design process from concept to production hand off, helping manage samples, tech packs, and vendor communication. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating and updating tech packs, line sheets, and design documentation.
  • Support the design team with fabric sourcing, trims, and color approvals.
  • Research trending design directions that stay true to the brand’s identity—across silhouettes, details, color stories, prints, and graphics—and translate insights into inspiring visual presentations for leadership.
  • Organize and track samples for fittings and presentations.
  • Help with creating sales presentations, such as CADS or other related documents.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding design specifications, art strike offs and any related changes.
  • Maintain design archives and digital asset libraries.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure design integrity through manufacturing.
  • Works in AIMS 360(ERP) creating and updating materials, trim and style master’s for the company.
  • Review lab dips, samples and submits with design team and enter/send comments to vendors.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and apparel terminology.
  • Experience working at a graphic driven brand is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with AIMS 360 software is a plus.
  • A creative thinker who is aware of current and upcoming retail fashion trends.
