AJ Glass is looking for a motivated Estimator I to join our in‑office team in Marietta, GA. In this role, you'll handle more complex scopes of work with guidance, interface with general contractors, and take ownership of your estimates from start to finish.

• Assist in preparing detailed pricing for commercial glazing scopes, including curtain wall, storefront, aluminum framing, hardware, and specialty glass, with guidance from senior team members as needed.
• Send Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to vendors for materials such as aluminum systems, ballistic glass, and hardware—ensuring accuracy and timely follow‑up.
• Communicate with general contractors following internal review to clarify scope or confirm project details.
• Support awarded projects by running accounting budgets to ensure accurate handoff and financial tracking.
• Draft clear and concise Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve gaps in project documentation.
• Manage Change Order Requests (CORs), ensuring all revisions are properly documented and communicated.
• Ensure all estimate details are accurate, complete, and handed off clearly—take ownership and pride in the quality of your work.

• 1‑2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, ideally with a focus on glazing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management is a plus, but we also highly value hands‑on experience.
• Familiarity with glazing systems, aluminum storefronts, curtain walls, and related materials.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable reading architectural drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, and familiarity with construction management platforms (Procore).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, solution‑oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• Majority of the position is performed in an office setting, sitting or standing at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to attend occasional site visits and scheduled site walks on active construction sites, which may involve walking or standing, limited ladder use, and normal working conditions.
• Occasional lifting of light materials (up to 25 pounds), such as plans or samples.
