Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will drive improvements in operations by optimizing processes, supporting tooling and equipment, reducing costs, and enhancing quality. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing performance.
Essential Skills- Manufacturing engineering expertise, specifically in machining.
- Proficiency in Mastercam.
- BS in Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for forging or metal forming experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
- Create, update, and manage standard work, process maps, and work instructions, ensuring accurate and current documentation for all manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Establish and sustain standardized procedures, process documentation, and routing structures.
- Contribute to new product introduction efforts through process development, capacity analysis, and launch readiness.
- Collaborate with tooling, maintenance, and engineering teams on die design, process improvements, and equipment upgrades.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with process improvement and engineering.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Contract to Hire position based out of Marengo, IL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37.00 - $45.00/hr.
