Overview
The Maintenance Associate position at San Marco Church is responsible for taking care of the buildings and grounds ensuring that all interiors and exteriors are clean, well maintained, and safe.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance.
- Set up and breakdown of banquet hall, tables and chairs for special events and requests.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and operating condition at all time.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs on toilets, sinks, drains and sprinkler systems.
- Be able to perform general painting duties on walls, ceilings, and trim as needed.
- Performs routine painting, electrical, lighting, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
- Identify the locations of utility shut off's in all buildings the event of an emergency.
- Cleaning & sanitization, as needed during the day.
- Understanding of all safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items.
- Liaise with contractors such as cleaning, landscaping, and air conditioning, as needed and report to Facilities Manager.
- Coordinates and assists with special projects and events as directed.
- Respond to emergency calls 24 hrs/day.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have basic maintenance skills.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Plumbing or electric license, preferred.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required.
- Ability to work some nights, weekends and holidays on all shifts (especially in season) will be required.
- Work in varying temperatures and climates, indoors and outdoors.
- Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach continuously throughout shift.
- Physically capable of climbing ladders in a safe manner.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Must pass background check, including fingerprinting with satisfactory results.
- Must pass DOV assigned physical exam.
