Are you a passionate and committed Maths Teacher looking for a stable long-term position in a supportive Bristol secondary school? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Maths specialist to join a well‑established Mathematics department on a full‑time basis from March 2026. Aboutthe Role
As a Long-Term Maths Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, helping them to develop fluency, reasoning, and problem‑solving skills. You will follow the school’s schemes of work, contribute to departmental planning where required, and take responsibility for assessment, marking, and classroom routines. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing mathematical concepts to life and creating a structured, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver well‑planned, engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing strong numeracy, reasoning, and problem‑solving skills
- Follow school policies and departmental guidelines, ensuring consistency in teaching and learning
- Mark work, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a calm, organised, and positive classroom culture
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varied abilities
- Encourage resilience, curiosity, and a positive attitude toward Mathematics
- Contribute to an inclusive and aspirational school environment
- Promote high standards of mathematical literacy and independent learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong secondary Maths teaching experience
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of mixed abilities
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for helping students succeed
- Positive, proactive, and dependable approach to long‑term teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional excellence
- Previous secondary experience preferred – ECTs also encouraged to apply
