• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door of the store for deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist with and coach other team members to work with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the back door for vendor deliveries.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty packages).
• Assist with evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and keep the accuracy of on‑hand quantities for all departments and storage areas.
• Ensure the out‑date program is followed with team members.
• Perform basic department pricing and daily price changes, ensuring proper signage is displayed to support accurate pricing of products and comply with local regulations.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments as necessary.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the store is clean, neat, and orderly. Request repairs in manager’s absence or as requested.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies, using first‑in, first‑out for consumables.
• Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
• Assist at pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco).
• Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with the team, including greeting, eye contact, courtesy, proactive help, identifying needs, and serving until satisfied.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.

• Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key‑holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records.
• Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
