Also, may I ask that we post a Sushi Cabana Supervisor position. This position will pay $20.00 per hour (replacing a hostess at $18) and be in the tip pool as they will work in position as well as supervise. Position description is below:
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Guest Service
- Requisition necessary supplies in a timely manner to support smooth operations.
- Assist with seating guests.
- Respond to all guest requests promptly in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Control seating and manage the flow of the dining area while operating the host stand.
- Ensure intentional guest engagement by “touching tables” and maintaining high guest satisfaction.
- Address guest feedback, communicate concerns to leadership, and develop action plans for improvement.
- Expedite food service regularly and train staff on proper course timing.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
- Be present on the floor during peak service times and assist the team with operational needs.
- Communicate daily with the management team regarding concerns or issues from previous business days.
- Lead and participate in daily pre‑meal/stand‑up meetings with the F&B team, discussing:
- Operational priorities
- Safety topics
- VIP guests
- Specials and menu updates
- Food and beverage education
- Guest feedback
- Provide proactive communication of service and operational standards to staff.
- Assist team members as needed to foster a positive, team‑oriented environment.
- Uphold the expectation that managers perform duties alongside their teams when necessary.
Sanitation & Compliance
- Maintain proper sanitation and care for all products, kitchen equipment, and work areas.
- Oversee weekly deep‑cleaning tasks to ensure cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies including:
- Time and attendance standards
- Uniform and dress code
- Workplace substance policies
Administrative & Program Oversight
- Oversee the in‑room dining program.
- Update POS systems with pricing, specials, and menu changes in coordination with management.
- Maintain proper care and organization of kitchen supplies and equipment.
