Details

This role includes responsibilities across guest services, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will work reliably, follow schedules, and maintain high standards of personal appearance and workplace organization.

Responsibilities
  • Know your work schedule and follow it with a high degree of reliability.
  • Interact with patrons, clients, vendors, and co‑workers in a professional and customer‑service oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
  • Perform your job according to standard operating procedures.
  • Read, understand and follow all policies, procedures and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook.
  • Implement resort/marina safety and emergency policies and procedures (i.e., evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards, following OSHA Hazcom program and safe lifting techniques.
  • Utilize protective equipment, when applicable.
  • Promptly report accidents, injuries, property damage or loss to supervisor.
  • Promptly report substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisor.
  • Keep accurate communication flowing freely among all hotel departments.
  • Inform management promptly of any work‑related problems or guest complaints.
  • Maintain professional, amicable relationships with all resort departments, managers, and staff, as well as vendors, and community and professional contacts.
  • Promote excellent guest service throughout the resort by demonstrating friendly, courteous and helpful attitudes toward all guests.
  • Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Able to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis with or without an accommodation.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
  • Able to perform functions such as mopping, sweeping and scrubbing using repetitive motions of the arms and upper body.
  • Able to tolerate hot/cold temperatures for long periods of time.
  • Able to tolerate exposure to chemicals using supplied safety equipment; e.g. rubber gloves.
  • Able to communicate in English, preferably bilingual.
