About the Job

Diesel Technician is responsible for repair and maintenance of diesel equipment used in aggregate production. Related equipment includes engines, hydraulics, electronics, Tier 4 systems, and fuel systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics and be able to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and problems. The Senior Diesel Technician will perform every task associated with the Diesel Specialist and Diesel Technician and serve as a subject‑matter expert.

What

You’ll Do
  • Advanced knowledge to diagnose and repair diesel engines and related equipment including air systems, oil analysis, and cooling systems.
  • Troubleshooting of fuel systems, including diagnostic testing with manufacturer software.
  • Test and rebuild various types of hydraulic equipment.
  • Disassemble and assemble wheel loader axles.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of circuit faults.
  • Remove and install a pressure sensor on an EUI engine.
  • Advanced troubleshooting for the entire fuel system.
  • Disassemble and assemble pumps and lines for the fuel system.
  • Properly troubleshoot Tier 4 systems.
  • Test, repair, and replace common‑rail fuel system engines.
  • Remove and install a high‑pressure fuel pump.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Perform routine maintenance on diesel equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Inspect diesel equipment and related equipment for safety and compliance issues.
  • Keep up‑to‑date on the latest diesel equipment technology.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
Other Requirements
  • Willing to travel to all locations within the geographic area.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Skills You’ll Need Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
