The Configuration Management Analyst ensures the integrity and accuracy of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program hardware, software, and supporting documentation by implementing and monitoring configuration management (CM) processes. This role manages configuration items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle, maintains authoritative configuration records in the Integrated Logistics Support System (ILSS) and technical data packages (TDPs), facilitates configuration audits, and supports the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
The analyst provides guidance on CM policies and procedures to maintain accurate baselines and enable effective maintenance, logistics, and system performance reporting.
- Maintain authoritative configuration baselines in ILSS, CM Pro, and Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process, ensuring configuration changes are properly documented, reviewed, and approved.
- Facilitate configuration audits to verify that hardware, software, and documentation match the approved baseline.
- Provide configuration status accounting reports to Program Management to support logistics planning, sustainment activities, and System Ao performance monitoring.
- Conduct configuration audits (functional and physical) to confirm system status, documentation accuracy, and compliance with technical requirements.
- Manage document control workflows, including versioning, distribution, storage, and archival of program documents and technical artifacts.
- Provide recurring configuration reports, change logs, system baselines, and configuration status accounting to PMO leadership and Government customers.
- Support Systems Acceptance Tests (SAT) by ensuring that configuration baselines are correctly documented and verified.
- Participate in PMO meetings and cross-functional coordination activities, providing configuration insights that support operational availability and lifecycle planning.
- Support semi-annual inventory of assist or as requested by the PMO or the Government.
- Interface with customers to accept incoming work and distribute completed work.
- Responsible for appraisal and coordination of the creation, storage of, and retrieval of configuration management records and documents.
- Maintains various logs and relays general information regarding the status of configuration management products.
- Electronically route transactions according to established processes; change requests and associated evaluations, documents for review or evaluation and actions and corresponding closures.
- Provide electronic archival of the transaction as well as archival of associated materials (such as change requests, mandatory evaluators, evaluation input, and disposition information).
- Coordinate reviews of documents.
- Assist the Engineering author with completion of required forms for document review.
- Coordinate review of documents for which Engineering is not the author but for which customer is requesting evaluation.
- Must perform other duties assigned at the discretion of management.
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings, on-site field safety briefings and inspections.
- Operate equipment within federal, state, local, and company regulations.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others.
- Cooperate with safety personnel, supervisors, managers, and investigators to ensure proper procedures are carried out according with the company and customer's safety policies.
- Identify and report safety violations to safety personnel, supervisors, managers.
- Support safety meetings, training sessions, and inspections.
Perform regular and ad-hoc CM reports as needed for program to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are being met.

- Participate as a vital crew/team member and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization.
- Promote a team approach and maintain communications/dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas for continuous improvement and best practices.
- Complete daily reports and timecards.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering technology, or related field. Will consider experience of 2 years for each year of education - experience must be in a directly related field working in a configuration management role.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Configuration Management role.
- Minimum of 3 years supporting configuration management activities with or supporting a U.S. Government project, including document control, baseline maintenance, or change management. Experience with government sustainment programs or logistics…
