, a Cassia community, has a rare opportunity for a RN Director of Health Services (DHS) to join our team in Maplewood, MN. Harmony Gardens is a welcoming senior care community where your skills are valued and your dedication to excellent care makes an impact. An after-hours RN team triages calls during evenings, weekends, nights and holidays to support work-life balance.

The Director of Health Services leads the clinical team in providing excellent care for residents in assisted living and memory care. You will organize, direct, implement and evaluate the clinical program to deliver exceptional resident care in line with regulations and best practices. Our ideal candidate is an RN who is passionate about supportive team development and delivering a high standard of care.

The Director of Health Services reports directly to the Director of Housing and supervises the clinical team (RN, LPNs & Caregivers).

• Complete initial assessment of potential Independent and Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents
• Create and implement individual care plans for each resident
• Ensure residents’ rights are protected and advocate on their behalf
• Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel and family regarding residents’ needs and health status
• Take fiscal responsibility for setting and staying within budget for nursing and care-related areas
• Monitor and maintain resident charts and progress notes
• Oversee ordering, setup and administration of all medications
• Fulfill staffing requirements for nursing department including hiring, evaluation and scheduling
• Provide health and medication training to nursing personnel, ensure continued education and document training to ensure regulatory compliance
• Supervise nursing staff including guidance, coaching and discipline to maintain high standards of care and a positive work environment

• Registered Nurse with current MN licensure
• Experience in Senior Housing, Assisted Living or Home Care required
• Familiar with Assisted Living rules and regulations
• Experience in supervising staff preferred
• Working knowledge of electronic health records
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department
