The Corporate Finance Director is responsible for financial leadership of the shared services organizations (e.g. IT, R&D, HR, Finance) and driving enhanced capital allocation through a focus on R&D spending and returns and supporting the 3M transformation program. This role will manage a team and partner with Finance leaders and senior operating leaders across 3M.

As Corporate Finance Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Establishing clear spend, productivity, and ROI reporting for Corporate Staff Services with actionable KPIs

• Collaborate with Corporate Finance and organizational leaders to improve capital allocation, establish KPIs, manage spend, and drive greater visibility, analytics, investment effectiveness, and productivity.

• Support the 3M transformation program through evaluation of new operating models, identification and implementation of new productivity initiatives, etc.

• Identify and eliminate waste from current processes. Develop and implement a daily management system to drive financial outcomes and business accountability using data and data analytics

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

• Ten (10) years of Finance experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s degree in Finance from an accredited institution

• Five (5) years of Corporate Finance and/or Financial Planning and Analysis in a private, public, government or military environment

• Skills include people leadership, collaboration, communication and adaptability.

• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence at the enterprise level, including governance routines across corporate functions (IT, R&D, HR, Finance) to drive spend discipline, investment prioritization, and accountability

• Work location:
  
  This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic

The expected compensation range for this position is $228,040 - $278,715, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
