The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Material Reinvent Product Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
* Working alongside a multi-functional team to identify, evaluate, and qualify alternative materials used in Solventum medical devices, combination devices, drug products, and components.
* Collaborating with the Solventum research & development organization to reformulate or redesign input materials where needed to enhance performance or quality characteristics.
* Pursuing united goals with cross-functional global teams composed of members from manufacturing, product stewardship, clinical, quality, and multiple other functions.
* Visiting and forming great working relationships with identified third party and internal manufacturing locations to facilitate qualifications.
* Strategically requesting and managing confidential information internally and with third parties on a need-to-know basis.
* Leading or supporting major projects by maintaining clear project schedules, presenting status to multiple types of stakeholders, and driving the successful attainment of milestones.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND seven (7) years of experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environmentOR
* High School Diploma/GED AND eleven (11) years of experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environment

ANDIn addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
* Three (3) years of product and/or manufacturing experience in the medical device industry and/or medical device Quality Management Systems (QMS)
