The role reports into a global logistics organization and requires weekly onsite presence, occasional domestic travel, and flexibility to work across international time zones.

Job Description

In this role, you will lead major initiatives that improve domestic ground load factor and overall transportation efficiency. You will manage projects centered on vehicle load optimization, minimum order quantity improvements, shipping frequency standardization, and customer requirement rationalization. You will work closely with Commercial, Customer Engagement, Transportation, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Planning teams while also partnering directly with customers to present strategies, support adoption, and track progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead vehicle load factor improvement initiatives to reach an 80 percent utilization target for domestic customer shipments, using Power BI analytics for insights and tracking.
  • Deploy customer minimum order quantity optimization efforts to increase full layer and full pallet pick ratios to 65 percent across US distribution centers.
  • Standardize customer order patterns and shipping frequencies to enhance transportation efficiency and strengthen network stability.
  • Present initiatives, review progress, and support adoption of optimization practices directly with customer teams.
  • Develop and maintain decision support tools including prioritization matrices, process maps, execution timelines, and initiative trackers.
  • Coordinate onsite logistics activities across distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and operational workshops.
  • Partner with domestic transportation and site teams to ensure consistent and measurable execution results.
  • Lead cross‑functional solution development with Commercial, Customer Engagement, and other partner groups to resolve systemic logistics challenges.
  • Define customer and site load factor targets, track ongoing performance, and provide structured reporting to stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver executive‑level updates on performance, initiative progress, and cost savings realization.
  • Maintain governance processes, enhance the Global Load Factor Playbook, and update content in centralized communication platforms.
  • Establish and manage a project framework including scope definition, milestones, risk identification, and communication plans.
  • Develop tools and templates that support multiple work streams and ensure alignment across operational and commercial teams.
Qualifications Required
  • Experience in customer‑facing logistics roles such as customer service, account management, sales support, planning, or similar areas within supply chain.
  • Demonstrated success in logistics optimization initiatives including order consolidation, full pallet conversions, or shipment frequency improvements.
  • Proven project leadership experience, including managing multi‑workstream initiatives, driving accountability, and delivering results on tight timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using platforms such as Power BI to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage complex operational challenges, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and collaborate across international time zones as needed.
Preferred
  • Experience optimizing domestic ground load factor or improving truck utilization in a customer shipment environment.
