Aecon Technical Solutions Inc. employs highly-trained technicians to perform telecommunications infrastructure installations across residential, retail, commercial, institutional or hospitality environments.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Control Centre, the Team Lead, Control Centre will support the control center team in all functions.
- Learns, interprets and applies organizational policies, rules and regulations.
- Maintain and organize document files.
- Monitor and manage all control center activities to ensure requirements are met.
- Assist in creation and implementation of best practices and procedures.
- Ensure Resource Associates are adequately trained and performing to standards.
- Assist Resource Associate staff as needed.
- Provide updates to the Manager, Control Centre, on challenges that arise.
- Act as a point of contact for Resource Associates with questions/concerns.
- Act as liaison between employees and contractors.
- Participate in long-term planning of overall goals/strategies.
- Keep up to date on client and Aecon procedures.
- Lead the implementation of new procedures including documenting, recording and training.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the team.
- Train new hires on daily tasks and Aecon policies and procedures.
- Delegate work to Resource Associates as appropriate.
- Help define models, processes and success metrics for delivery of capabilities and alignment to meet customer requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Ability to make day-to-day business decisions, including anticipating and addressing roadblocks.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong people leadership, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of VMware and Telus procedures is a strong asset.
- Strong telephone etiquette and prior dispatch management experience preferred.
- Ability to excel in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
- Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines, initiative and minimal supervision.
The expected hourly rate for this position is $25-$27/hr individual pay is determined based on location, education, experience, and unique skills. Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging.
