Test Planning & Strategy:
Define, create, and manage Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R) for EV systems (battery, inverter, motor, onboard charger).
System Testing (SIL/PIL/HIL):
Design and execute automated test suites across Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze test results from DAQ (data acquisition) systems, identify performance deviations, and document findings in technical reports.
Root Cause Analysis:
Lead investigations into failures during validation cycles, collaborating with design teams to propose corrective actions.
Functional & Environmental Validation:
Conduct testing for durability, vibration, thermal, safety (e.g., ISO 26262), and EMC compliance.
Vehicle Integration:
Support equipment level software testing, tuning, and debugging on prototypes.
Tool Development:
Develop python-based test frameworks and automated failure triage tools.
What you must have:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience:
5+ years in automotive/EV or fuel cell validation, including experience with battery management systems, power electronics, or ADAS.
Technical Tools:
Proficiency with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape), MATLAB/Simulink, and Python for automation.
Standards Knowledge:
Familiarity with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, and regulatory requirements (UN-ECE R100, FMVSS).
Hands-on
Experience:
Experience with high-voltage systems, data loggers, and instrumentation (accelerometers, strain gauges).
Salar/Rate Range: $95,000 -$120,000
