This role will remain open until filled. The actual compensation depends on factors such as experience and location.

Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of management, including system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Open back door for delivery.
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to safe, and provide change as requested.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Hold store keys to open and close without management.
  • Assist and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, opening back door for vendor deliveries.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register and maintain accurate records of scanning errors, price verifications and modifications.
  • Assist manager or assistant manager in reviewing order exceptions, reverse logistics, and evaluating or developing displays.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure outdate program compliance.
  • Make daily price changes and ensure proper signage, meeting local regulations.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities: cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
  • Support exterior and interior maintenance, requesting repairs when necessary.
  • Separate food items as appropriate and perform stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out method.
  • Utilize store systems and equipment competently.
  • Assist at pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
  • Perform bag checks of team members before store closing.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
  • Attend training and complete required performance plans requested by the manager.
Communications
  • Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
  • Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of store inventory control processes.
  • Employment may be considered for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician Board or pharmacy license as required by state.
