• Ensuring efficient and smooth production on runner lines by preventing line problems through proactive identification and resolution of production line deficiencies
• Reduction of production line scrap
• Assisting Engineers by troubleshooting and solving production line problems

• Maintain proficiency performing all operations for specified manufacturing lines
• Reduce production line scrap by identifying and preventing sub optimal materials, equipment, and assembly techniques from being used on the line
• Review and update production documentation (processes, travelers) to reflect best practice techniques and optimize ease of use for assemblers
• Review and recommend updates to components specifications and drawings to reduce WIP scrap
• Ensure equipment is performing as required and work to correct suboptimal equipment performance involving engineering and manufacturing technology as needed
• Monitor special environmental requirements to ensure processes are not performed outside specifications
• Work with leads to reduce clutter and optimize workspace organization and cleanliness
• Independently monitor, perform time studies and work with leads to correct low performing work stations
• Identify and implement production improvements with minimal direction from higher level personnel
• Be responsible for multiple product lines
• Train and mentor other technicians
• Update and Improve VSI Business Processes related to Production Line Monitoring and Troubleshooting

• Associate degree in a scientific discipline preferred
• Two years of related experience required
• BA/BS in Engineering preferred

• Basic problem solving skills
• Self-driven, ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Ability to take work direction and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner
• Strong communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude, strong ability to work with and measure parts under a microscope
• Ability to read and interpret measurement instruments
• Proficient in simple statistical analysis and presentation of data summaries using graphs and charts showing appropriate statistical metrics using Mini-Tab
