Material Handler in Plastic Injection Molding

Position Summary:

The Material Handler will ensure a continuous supply of raw materials to injection presses and auxiliary equipment to maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mix resin as directed.
• Place grinder at each press.
• Properly tag material and auxiliary equipment for use.
• Pull and clean hoppers and grinders after each job.
• Monitor dryers as needed.
• Set up and troubleshoot all material auxiliary equipment.
• Adhere to 5-S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Utilize 5-S suggestion forms for improvements.
• Possess knowledge of plastic material handling.
• Drive a forklift.
• Pay attention to detail.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Have basic math aptitude.
• Read and understand English.
• Prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Follow directions from Supervisors/Managers.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to sit, walk, or stand for an eight-hour shift.
