Salary Range: $31.60 - $33.36 per hour
Note: As per the collective agreement, probationary employees will receive 5% less than the regular permanent rate of the classification they are employed in, until the completion of four (4) months continuous service or eighty (80) actual days worked, whichever is the greater. They will then commence receiving the regular permanent rate.

Maintains facilities in good repair and to a high standard of cleanliness that ensures a safe, secure, and healthy community for tenants. Performs custodial and minor maintenance duties to prevent the deterioration of buildings' appearance.Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs general maintenance and repairs for building interior and exterior systems, including common rooms, corridors, tenant suites, elevators, hallways, public washrooms, and windows.
- Ensures assets are maintained to divisional standards. Maintains daily activity records in a work management system.
- Performs minor repairs (e.g., aerators, wall patching, sanding, painting, minor door repairs, screens) and replaces common area and tenant light bulbs as required.
- Responds to and reports vandalism and emergencies to management or designate. Reports problems with building systems, hardware, and/or fixtures to management or designate, and helps maintain tenant security by ensuring doors and locking systems function properly.
- Collects and removes garbage from building and common areas for scheduled curb side pick‑up or placement in bulk containers. Coordinates recycling within the building. Routinely inspects building grounds for cleanliness, picking up litter and hazardous materials as required.
- Maintains water softener equipment by ensuring salt/brine tank is full.
- Assists contractors with snow removal activities by shovelling, applying salt/sand mixture and/or ice melt to walkways, entrances, and exit doors as required.
- Performs and documents routine monitoring and inspections, including daily property walkthroughs and inspections (e.g., playgrounds, fire safety equipment, annual in‑suite inspections). Assists in fire drills.
- Delivers building and occupant notices.
- Communicates and provides information to contractors. Inspects repairs performed by contractors to ensure work is carried out per contractual agreements and reports progress. Monitors to ensure service contracts and major repairs are completed. Communicates to management or designate regarding contract deficiencies.
