About the role:
Boston Scientific is advancing its Global Supply Chain (GSC) to meet the demands of rapid growth, global expansion, and increasing complexity across the Med Tech landscape.
As Vice President, Global Supply Chain Strategy
, you will lead the design and execution of our enterprise‑wide supply chain strategy—guiding how and where we build and distribute our products globally.
This leadership role is responsible for driving transformation, leading the design of our supply chain, integrating acquisitions, and enabling strategic alignment across global supply chain functions. You will oversee high‑impact teams in strategic planning, program management, acquisition & integration, restructuring programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring that Boston Scientific’s supply chain remains innovative, scalable, and patient‑centric.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and execution of Boston Scientific’s long‑term global supply chain strategy in partnership with senior leadership across GSC, Operations, and the Commercial organization
- Overseeing the SEED (Supply Chain End‑to‑End Design) framework to guide strategic decisions on manufacturing and distribution footprint optimization
- Delivering cross‑functional integration and operational alignment during acquisitions, including post‑merger supply chain strategy and execution
- Directing a global team responsible for strategic planning, program management, supply chain analytics, and enterprise‑level initiatives
- Partnering with finance and operations leaders to support strategic and annual operating plans, ensuring alignment across functions and business units
- Driving the Delivering Excellence program to connect GSC teams, align strategic initiatives, and embed continuous improvement across the network
- Representing Global Supply Chain Strategy in executive forums, presenting recommendations and insights to influence enterprise decision‑making
- Leading organizational design and talent development efforts to build high‑performing, future‑ready teams aligned with Boston Scientific’s values and growth trajectory
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in global supply chain or operations roles, including at least 3+ years in executive leadership
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across senior leadership
- Strong familiarity with SEED (Supply Chain End‑to‑End Design) or similar frameworks
- Proven experience in developing and executing enterprise‑level supply chain strategies in a large, matrixed organization
- Demonstrated success leading strategic planning, post‑acquisition integration, and global transformation initiatives
- Deep understanding of supply chain design principles, footprint optimization, and cross‑border distribution models
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing, globally distributed teams
- Strong executive presence and ability to partner with senior leadership, IT, and external vendors
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated healthcare sector
- Familiarity with advanced planning systems, digital supply chain tools, and enterprise transformation frameworks
