Family Law Attorney

Description

We are looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our legal team in the North West Metro of the Twin Cities, Minnesota. This role involves providing expert legal counsel and representation in matters such as divorce, custody, guardian ships, adoptions, and post-decree work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

- Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, custody disputes, and guardian ships/conservatorships.

- Draft legal motions, briefs, and other court documents with precision and attention to detail.

- Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather relevant evidence and information.

- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on adoption processes and post-decree modifications.

- Advocate for clients in court proceedings, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law regulations and case precedents.

- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop legal strategies.

- Manage case files efficiently and ensure deadlines are met.

- Negotiate settlements and agreements that align with clients' objectives.

- Build strong client relationships based on trust and effective communication.

Requirements

- Licensed attorney with active membership in the state bar.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing family law.

- Proficiency in drafting legal motions, briefs, and other court documents.

- Strong knowledge of discovery processes and procedures.

- Demonstrated expertise in handling cases related to divorce, custody, and guardian ships.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
