Guyette Family Guidance is a therapy practice well-known for specializing in supporting families navigating separation, divorce, family law proceedings, and other transitions. We are seeking thoughtful, skilled, and relational licensed therapists who want meaningful clinical work without the burnout, without the paperwork overload, and with full autonomy over their schedule.
If you are passionate about helping families during their most pivotal moments, this role gives you the chance to make a measurable impact while working alongside a collaborative, mission-driven team.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us- Truly Flexible Scheduling – You choose your hours and caseload—daytime, evening, or weekends.
- No Insurance Billing – Private-pay structure means no payer audits, no billing nightmares, and more bandwidth for clinical work.
- High-Demand Specialty = Consistent Referrals – We are one of the only practices in the region specializing in working with families in separation or divorce transitions. There is a high demand nationally for therapists in this niche. You’ll receive steady, aligned referrals without having to market yourself.
- Supportive Team Culture – We value clinical autonomy, professional integrity, and a warm, supportive environment.
Our clients genuinely want change. We work at the intersection of mental health, family systems, and sometimes the legal system—where skilled clinicians can make a life-changing difference.
What You’ll Do- Provide individual therapy, parent guidance, and/or co-parenting work (depending on your interest and training).
- Maintain timely documentation (brief and clinically focused—no insurance templates).
- Participate in team meetings and consultation, if desired.
- Engage in ongoing professional development with our supportive clinical team.
- LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, or LP in Minnesota (fully licensed).
- Strong clinical skills in treating family systems, relational conflict, and trauma.
- Ability to work independently while valuing collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals for the coordination of care.
- Minimum of three years experience providing therapy services, preferably with experience with families in divorce transitions.
- $70/hour for all client-facing time
- $35/hour for non-client hours
- Consistent referrals of private pay
- Office space in Maple Grove, MN.
- Consultation and case collaboration, doctoral-level expertise in this niche population
- Practice management system (EHR, scheduling, telehealth—no cost to you)
